Custom Impact Doors at STS Impact Windows & Doors
Custom impact doors represent one of the more specialized areas of work handled by STS Impact Windows & Doors, the Boca Raton impact windows installer operating from 1000 Holland Dr #10 in the northern part of the city. While the company's broader focus covers impact windows, sliding glass doors, and related general contracting, custom impact doors address the situations where standard sizing and off-the-shelf options don't fit an opening, an architectural style, or an owner's specific priorities. This aspect of the business connects directly to the firm's name and its core identity as a provider of impact-rated openings built for South Florida's coastal climate.
How This Work Fits the Brand's Overall Focus
STS Impact Windows & Doors builds its identity around durable building improvements suited to the Palm Beach County environment, where seasonal storms and salt-air exposure make impact-rated openings a practical priority. Custom impact doors extend that focus to entryways and passages that call for individual attention. Within the company's wider catalog — which includes impact entry doors, impact French doors, impact sliding glass doors, and impact garage doors — the custom side is where those categories are adapted to non-standard dimensions, distinctive layouts, and the particular look a property owner wants for their home or business. It sits alongside the company's window work as part of a single, coordinated approach to protecting a building's exterior openings.
What Custom Impact Doors Involve in Plain Language
In practical terms, a custom impact door is one that is specified and fitted to match a particular opening rather than being pulled from a limited range of stock sizes. That can matter for older Boca Raton homes with unusual entry proportions, for renovations that change the shape of a doorway, or for owners who want a specific door style that still meets impact requirements. The work generally involves confirming the exact dimensions of the opening, choosing the door type and configuration, and installing a unit engineered to resist wind pressure and flying debris. Options across the company's door lines include:
- Impact entry doors for front and main access points
- Impact French doors for interior-to-exterior transitions and patios
- Impact sliding glass doors for wide openings and outdoor connections
- Impact garage doors as part of a complete exterior upgrade
Because these products are impact-rated, they combine the everyday function of a door with the storm-resistant qualities that South Florida properties often need. The custom element simply means the fit, style, and configuration are tailored to the individual structure rather than compromised to suit a standard product.
The Areas Where STS Impact Windows & Doors Delivers This Work
The company's Holland Drive location places it within an established commercial corridor of Boca Raton, convenient to the residential neighborhoods and business districts spread across the city and nearby Palm Beach County communities. Custom impact door work reaches property owners in Boca Raton itself and in surrounding areas including Delray Beach, Boynton Beach, and the neighborhoods of Boca Del Mar, Sandalfoot Cove, Kings Point, High Point, and the Hamptons at Boca Raton. The coastal community of Gulf Stream also falls within the company's service footprint, along with Deerfield Beach and Coconut Creek to the south. These are established South Florida communities where homes and businesses regularly face the same coastal weather considerations that make impact-rated doors relevant.
This service area reflects the practical reach of a Boca Raton–based contractor working throughout Palm Beach County. Custom door projects tend to require close attention to each individual property, and STS Impact Windows & Doors' central position in the county keeps it within convenient distance of both the older established neighborhoods and the newer developments spread across the region.
What Distinguishes the Brand's Approach
STS Impact Windows & Doors approaches custom impact doors as an extension of its overall specialization rather than a separate side offering. The company works across the full range of impact openings — windows and doors alike — which means custom door projects can be coordinated with related upgrades such as impact windows, sliding glass doors, or garage doors when a property owner is improving a home's exterior as a whole. That breadth allows the firm to treat a doorway not as an isolated fixture but as one part of a building's protective envelope.
Operating as a general contractor gives the business the flexibility to handle the installation details that custom work often demands, from confirming measurements to fitting a unit properly within an existing structure. For owners in Boca Raton and the wider Palm Beach County market, that combination of impact-door specialization and general contracting capability is the practical value behind the custom side of the company's work.

Common questions
What makes an impact door "custom" in FL 33487?
A custom impact door is built to fit a specific opening rather than a standard pre-made size, letting homeowners choose dimensions, glass style, frame finish, and hardware. STS Impact Windows & Doors, based at 1000 Holland Dr in Boca Raton, provides custom impact door solutions suited to South Florida's varied home styles, from single entry doors to wide sliding and French configurations.
Can I get custom impact French doors for a Delray Beach home?

Do custom impact doors need to meet Florida hurricane codes in FL 33487?
They do. Any impact-rated door installed in Palm Beach County must meet Florida's building code requirements for wind pressure and debris resistance, even when custom-sized. STS Impact Windows & Doors, operating from Boca Raton's Holland Drive corridor, works with impact door products engineered to satisfy South Florida's coastal code standards for both new and replacement openings.
What types of custom impact doors can homeowners choose near FL 33487?
Common options include impact entry doors, impact French doors, impact sliding glass doors, and impact garage doors. Can a Boca Raton installer replace a standard door with a custom impact door?

STS Impact Windows & Doors, serving Boca Raton and communities like Kings Point, High Point, and Gulf Stream, handles impact entry, French, and sliding door replacements sized to fit existing frames throughout Palm Beach County.
Do you have to install impact windows in Florida in FL 33487?
Florida law does not require every home to have impact windows, but building codes in high-velocity hurricane zones and coastal areas do require windows and doors rated to withstand wind and debris. New construction and many replacements must meet these standards. In Boca Raton and across Palm Beach County, installers like STS Impact Windows & Doors provide impact windows and doors designed to satisfy Florida's demanding coastal code requirements.
What are custom impact doors and how do they differ from standard models in FL 33487?
Custom impact doors are hurricane-rated entry, French, and sliding doors built to specific size, style, and hardware specifications rather than off-the-shelf dimensions. This matters for older or uniquely sized Boca Raton homes. STS Impact Windows & Doors, based at 1000 Holland Dr in Boca Raton, offers custom impact doors alongside impact entry, French, and sliding glass doors tailored to a property's openings.
Can custom impact doors be made to fit an unusual entryway near FL 33487?

STS Impact Windows & Doors, serving Boca Raton, Delray Beach, and surrounding Palm Beach County communities, provides custom impact door solutions along with impact French doors, entry doors, and sliding glass doors sized to each home.
Do custom impact doors need to meet Florida hurricane standards in FL 33487?
Custom impact doors sold in South Florida must still meet the same wind-load and impact-resistance requirements as standard products, since being custom refers to size and style rather than protection level. STS Impact Windows & Doors in Boca Raton works with impact-rated products designed for Palm Beach County's coastal climate, offering custom impact doors that pair hurricane performance with a tailored fit.
What styles of custom impact doors are available for a Boca Raton home?

STS Impact Windows & Doors, located on Holland Drive in Boca Raton, offers impact entry doors, impact French doors, impact sliding glass doors, and custom impact doors, giving homeowners across Palm Beach County options that match their home's design.
Are custom impact doors worth it compared to stock doors in FL 33487?
For homes with non-standard openings, custom impact doors can provide a cleaner fit, better weather sealing, and a look that suits the property, which stock doors may not achieve.
